Chalet Style Pavilion
Built in the mid 1900s by the client's father, this chalet-style pavilion was transported 150 miles from a neighborhood to a mountain top. Leiper's Creek Timber Frames worked meticulously to cut new posts, fabricate custom hardware for the floor system and post bases, and assemble the entire structure on large concrete piers to ensure a stable building in an area known for strong winds. This structure will be enclosed in the future, creating a 19'x22' cabin with stunning valley views.
The original heart pine posts were swapped for maple 16x16s, into which LCTF cut joinery to reassemble the structure. LCTF milled these posts from the client's log selection and will mill the original posts to be repurposed as flooring.
